Cooking Tips
- Choose Ripe Tomatoes: For the best flavor, use ripe and juicy tomatoes.
- Grate by Hand: Avoid using a chopper as it releases too much water, affecting the texture of the dosa batter.
- Proper Roasting: Ensure the tomatoes are blended well with the other ingredients to achieve a smooth batter.
- Adjust Consistency: If the batter is too thick, add a little water to achieve the right consistency.
- Use a Non-Stick Pan: This helps in making the dosas crispier and prevents them from sticking.
- Temperature Control: Make sure the pan is not too hot when spreading the batter, as it can cause sticking.
Pairing Guide
- With Peanut and Coconut Chutney: This classic combination enhances the flavor of the dosa.
- With Tea or Coffee: A small bowl of dosa pairs wonderfully with a cup of chai or coffee for an indulgent snack.
- With Spicy Potato Filling: For a more filling meal, add a spicy potato filling to the dosa.
- As a Festive Dish: Serve it as part of a festive breakfast or brunch menu.
