Chocolate glazed Donuts
Ingredients:
Refined flour - 125 gm
Fresh yeast - 5 gm
Grain sugar - 30 gm
Salt - ¼ tsp
Fat - 25 gm
Water - as required
Egg - ½ no
Vanilla essence - ½ tsp
Milk - 25 ml
Oil - for deep frying
Fresh cream - 25 ml
Chocolate - 50 gm
Method:
- Sieve flour, make well in the centre, mix egg, yeast, sugar, milk & vanilla in it. Leave it for 15 min.
- Mix together & make a soft dough by kneading very well.
- Cream fat & salt & knead in the dough.
- Round up & keep for fermentation for 1/2 hour, covered with moist cloth.
- Knock back the dough & roll into 1/8" thick round. Cut doughnuts using a doughnut cutter.
- Place them on a dusted tray & keep them for final proofing for 15- 20 min.
- Deep fry in hot oil.
- Serve glazed with melted chocolate, plain or dust them with icing sugar.
