Chocolate glazed Donuts 


Ingredients:

Refined flour          - 125 gm

Fresh yeast            - 5 gm

Grain sugar            - 30 gm

Salt                         - ¼ tsp

Fat                          - 25 gm

Water                      - as required

Egg                         - ½ no

Vanilla essence       - ½ tsp

Milk                         - 25 ml

Oil                            - for deep frying

Fresh cream             - 25 ml

Chocolate                - 50 gm

 

Method:

  • Sieve flour, make well in the centre, mix egg, yeast, sugar, milk & vanilla in it. Leave it for 15 min.
  • Mix together & make a soft dough by kneading very well.
  • Cream fat & salt & knead in the dough.
  • Round up & keep for fermentation for 1/2 hour, covered with moist cloth.
  • Knock back the dough & roll into 1/8" thick round. Cut doughnuts using a doughnut cutter.
  • Place them on a dusted tray & keep them for final proofing for 15- 20 min.
  • Deep fry in hot oil.
  • Serve glazed with melted chocolate, plain or dust them with icing sugar.
